Taylor & Francis launches pilot full-text feed to Publications Router

Taylor & Francis, one of the world’s largest publishers of scholarly journals, is now piloting providing full-text journal articles to Jisc’s Publications Router service, for onward distribution to UK institutional repositories.

Initial pilot

This initial Taylor & Francis pilot consists of published version of record articles from its over 360 fully open access journals. The articles provided are those with corresponding authors affiliated to institutions that have taken up Taylor & Francis’ read and publish agreement for its hybrid Open Select journals, negotiated via Jisc.

The articles are distributed under a Creative Commons licence with no embargo.

Taylor & Francis has agreed to review with Jisc in the future how the scope might be expanded to include OA articles from its hybrid journals.

Timely delivery

The articles are delivered in weekly batches immediately after publication of the version of record, which is usually within 30 days of acceptance.

The full-text PDFs are accompanied by any additional files published with the article, such as illustrations or video, together with rich, authoritative metadata – including details of the article licence, avoiding the need for institutions to check and enter this information manually.

Further information

The Router service is available to Jisc member HEIs in the UK that have compatible systems – and there’s no additional charge.

If you’d like more information, do get in touch via help@jisc.ac.uk, mentioning Publications Router in your subject line. We’ll then take you through how you can start receiving articles, to help you decide whether Router is right for you.
