Title: Rights retention policies for longform – In conversation with Aberdeen & LSE

Date/time: Weds. 8 July 2026 (11am)

Overview: In this meet-up, we’ll hear from two UK HE libraries – Aberdeen and LSE – all of whom have included some form of longform in their institutional rights retention policies. Speakers will share their experiences of drafting and implementing these policies, and there will also be a quick update from the European Rights Retention CoP ‘Rights Retention in Practice’ Task Force. There will be plenty of time for discussion so please come armed with questions, ideas & conversation starters! The meeting will be recorded and resources made available via the DRC Teams site.

Joining instructions: Use this link to join the meeting directly (with access to Q&A but not the Chat function). If you are a member of the DRC Teams site, you should have received an invite direct to your calendar. Please switch to the Jisc tenancy within Teams and then join the meeting via Teams calendar.

Title: Digital research community meet-up (August) – Digital Research Technical Professionals Q&A / Discussion

Date/time: Weds. 12 August 2026 (11am)

In June we ran a session on Digital Research Technical Professionals (dRTPs), who are a crucial part of the computational research community, and a cornerstone of Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI). That session covered what dRTPs are, where they come from, and what they do, and we heard from several UKRI-funded DRI projects which provide events and funding for dRTPs and people who are interested in engaging with this space.  There was so much to talk about, we have decided to schedule a follow-up session for further questions and discussions. This session will be discussion only so if you didn’t attend June’s session, please catch up first via the slides JISC_dRTP_talk_June26.pptx.pdf and discussion notes. The recording is also available in the community Teams channel.

Joining instructions: Use this link to join the meeting directly (with access to Q&A but not the Chat function). If you are a member of the DRC Teams site, you should have received an invite direct to your calendar. Please switch to the Jisc tenancy within Teams and then join the meeting via Teams calendar.
