Emerald, the global publisher of social science research, is now supplying accepted manuscripts of journal articles to Jisc’s Publications Router service for onward distribution to UK institutional repositories.
Deposit close to acceptance
The new feed from Emerald includes the full text of the manuscripts, deposited soon after acceptance for publication. Publications Router matches them to the authors’ institutions and forwards them to their repositories or CRISs, accompanied by authoritative metadata.
CC BY licence, no embargo
The articles may then be shared by the repositories under a Creative Commons attribution (CC BY) licence, details of which are included in the metadata. They may be exposed immediately, with no embargo.
The articles supplied are those whose corresponding authors are affiliated to an institution that subscribes to Emerald’s journals via the agreement negotiated on the sector’s behalf by Jisc.
Emerald’s journals cover a wide range of subject areas from management and finance to criminology and social media, adding to the range of disciplines covered in the feeds institutions can receive via Router.
