New podcast series incoming: Ready to talk research?

Our new podcast series Research Talk has launched. Alongside experts in the field, we will explore where Jisc are uniquely placed to act in the continued development of technology, digital and data approaches, to support the research and innovation sector to meet its priorities.

The series draws on the critical themes from our Research and Innovation strategy covering topics such as data analytics, infrastructure, open research and future research technologies.

In this first episode, Helen is joined by Cameron Neylon, an international leader in open research and co-leader of the Curtin Open Knowledge Initiative.

They discuss striving for universities to become open knowledge institutions by bringing together their different cultures and systems to create inclusive and innovative data.

In future episodes of Research Talk, we’ll be joined by Kathleen Shearer, Executive director of Confederation of Open Access Repositories, hearing her views on repositories in open research. As well as Cambridge scientist turned accidental inventor, Dr Alex Freeman. She’ll tell us all about Octopus, a new global service for scholarly communication which could positively disrupt research culture for the better.
